# Using the SDK

Learn how to use Akahu's JS SDK to easily get data from the API

Akahu maintains a comprehensive [JavaScript SDK](https://www.npmjs.com/package/akahu) that makes working with our API simple and easy.

To use the SDK, you will need:

* A **User Access Token**. Follow the [Getting Started Guide](/docs/getting-started) to obtain one.
* Your **App ID Token**. You should get this when you create your app.
* An Akahu account with at least one account connected. The **User Access Token** must belong to this account.
