Transfers API deprecation

In order to support the transition to official open banking APIs, Akahu's POST /transfers endpoint is now deprecated and will be permanently disabled for all applications by June 1st 2026.

New Zealand's regulated open banking system does not include the functionality to support Akahu's existing transfers functionality. Because of this, we have decided to drop support for this feature across all connection methods. To move money between different bank accounts, a payment must be used instead.

Transfers related functionality will become unavailable to applications at the time the first official open banking connection is enabled for your application.
